Lisa Peyton Caire is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Foundation for Black Women's Wellness. Thirteen years ago on May 22, 2006, my Mother Roberta W. Peyton, died at the age of 64 from congestive heart failure in a tiny dimly lit hospital room in Richmond, Virginia. One evening in July 2018, a group of friends and I crossed the Gateway International Bridge with a mission to take food and supplies to the asylum seekers that were living there.
